Paul Clarke

Paul Clarke is a contributing editor to Imbibe and the spirits and cocktails columnist for the online food journal Serious Eats. His writing on spirits and cocktails also appears in the San Francisco Chronicle and in other regional and national publications.

Since May 2005, Paul has documented his exploration of fine spirits and mixology on The Cocktail Chronicles, one of the first exclusively cocktail-related blogs on the Internet. Since launching this blog he has written in-depth essays covering more than 200 drinks, along with details of his exploration and home-brew of classic and sometimes obscure cocktail ingredients such as pimento dram, falernum and homemade grenadine. Paul is also the founder and moderator of Mixology Monday, a monthly online cocktail party that has attracted scores of participants from around the globe. A regular presenter at Tales of the Cocktail, Paul is also the founding editor of Tales Blog, a collaborative cocktail blog with more than 30 contributors from around the world that provides in-depth coverage of the annual event.

While he's still not sure it's a good thing that his drinking habits have attracted media attention, Paul has been profiled on Salon.com, and his blog has been declared an "Online Find" by the Boston Globe and a spotlighted "Pick" by Yahoo! Paul has been quoted in articles on spirits and cocktails in publications ranging from Seattle Metropolitan to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to the Baltimore Sun to Tiki Magazine.
